The Service Solutions Engineer at Danaher Corporation plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of diagnostic instruments, which significantly impacts patient care and outcomes.

This position is part of the Service Organization and offers a fully remote work arrangement. At Danaher, we are dedicated to transforming healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be integrated into the Field Service Team, reporting to the Field Supervisor and tasked with maintaining optimal functionality of our diagnostic equipment.

In this capacity, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Operate autonomously to perform troubleshooting, installation, preventive maintenance, and repair services on diagnostic equipment, ensuring exceptional service delivery to our clients, along with providing technical training on our products.
  • Keep precise service logs and internal records, manage parts ordering, and comply with service timelines. Utilize business tools such as OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service planning and to support team objectives.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, understanding their needs and assisting in the training of new Service Solutions Engineers.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • An associate degree or equivalent military experience (candidates with relevant military backgrounds will be evaluated individually)
  • At least one year of experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, or instrumentation
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past three years. Willingness to travel within assigned regions and occasionally to other locations. Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted (tools, replacement parts, consumables, etc.). Additionally, candidates should be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for extended periods. Good hand and finger dexterity is also required.
It would be advantageous if you also have experience in:

  • Over two years of advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventive maintenance, modifications, and/or repair services.
  • Building positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, enhancing customer satisfaction, and supporting long-term retention.
  • A technical background in fields such as biomedical engineering or related disciplines.
