Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, addressing their financial concerns and questions in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Process and verify patient financial information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize advanced software systems to evaluate patients for financial assistance programs and obtain necessary documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to resolve billing and insurance issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry standards, applying knowledge to improve processes and outcomes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a billing or insurance-related field.
  • Basic accounting and medical terminology skills, including ICD9, ICD10, and CPT coding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. On-site work is required, with no remote work options available. The successful candidate will be based at St. Luke's Center in Allentown, PA, with opportunities to work at various locations in the Lehigh Valley.
