Job Summary

As an Onboarding Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for new hires joining our Express Operations team. You will be responsible for guiding them through the onboarding process, from pre-employment requirements to their first day on the job.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with new hires, providing clear information about onboarding procedures, including shift schedules, training plans, and company policies.
  • Track the progress of new hires meticulously, ensuring all pre-employment activities are completed promptly and efficiently. This includes background checks, drug screenings, and necessary paperwork.
  • Collaborate closely with Recruiting, Operations, and Training teams to ensure a seamless transition for new employees on their first day.
  • Warmly welcome new hires to WFS, introducing them to team members and managers, fostering a sense of belonging from the start.
  • Serve as a valuable resource for new hires during their onboarding journey, directing them to appropriate departments for inquiries related to benefits, payroll, or other company matters.
  • Provide technical assistance to ensure new employees have the necessary hardware and software setup for success.
Minimum Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS/ATS).
  • A foundational understanding of labor laws and regulations.
  • A team-oriented approach and a welcoming demeanor.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in SAP Success Factors is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong time management abilities and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
