Job Summary:

The Director of Sales role at GPAC is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to join our team and drive business growth in the freight forwarding industry.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales leader to lead our sales team and develop strategic relationships with key clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales, a strong understanding of the freight forwarding industry, and excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead presentations with executives and owners of businesses to develop and close new sales opportunities
  • Cultivate new sales leads to establish business relationships and drive revenue growth
  • Proactively identify problems and implement effective solutions to drive business results
  • Partner with the operations and account management teams to ensure optimal customer satisfaction
  • Present a streamlined technology solution to develop a detailed analysis of customized needs in challenging areas
  • Take the lead in coordinating and developing all aspects of the proposal process
  • Closing, activating, and retaining relationships with clients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the Logistics and Transportation Industry, specifically in global freight forwarding (focus on air and ocean)
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Proven success generating and qualifying leads through prospecting new business with a 'hunter' mentality
  • High energy and passion for prospecting and building relationships
  • Competitive nature and self-starter with strong organization and presentation skills
