The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fitness club, ensuring an exceptional member experience and driving business success. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and develop a team of employees to achieve club goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member Experience: Create a welcoming atmosphere for members, prospective members, and guests, and ensure staff provide superior customer service.
  • Club Operations: Manage day-to-day club operations, including administration, payroll, and employee training.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the team to set and achieve club goals, and delegate responsibilities to club staff.
  • Recruitment and Training: Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  • Financial Management: Track club and employee statistics, and ensure payroll is within budget.
  • Disciplinary Process: Coach and counsel team members through the disciplinary process, up to termination.
  • Retail Sales: Execute retail transactions with accuracy and drive sales goals.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • Leadership Experience: 2-3 years of experience supervising and leading a team.
  • Education: Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Certifications: Willing to become CPR/AED certified (training provided by Planet Fitness).
  • Skills: Strong customer service, problem resolution, verbal and written communication, and basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk and stand for prolonged periods, and continuously talk in person or on the phone during shift.
