Echocardiography Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Echocardiography Specialist to join our team at Palmetto General. As an Echocardiography Specialist, you will be responsible for performing adult echocardiography competently, taking on-call shifts, monitoring supplies, maintaining equipment, and assisting with maintaining infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform adult echocardiography examinations competently
• Take on-call shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage
• Monitor and maintain supplies and equipment
• Assist with maintaining infection control standards
• Transport patients safely and efficiently
• Risk management and quality improvement initiatives
• Inter-and intra-departmental relations and communication
• Guest relations and customer service

Requirements:

• Good oral and written communication skills in English
• Ability to function calmly in a fast-paced, stressful environment
• Experience in echocardiographic examination of patients in any setting, including acute care settings
• Current BLS certification required
• Associate Degree in cardiovascular sonography field preferred
• Registered in Cardiac Sonography required
