Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Echocardiography Specialist to join our team at Palmetto General. As an Echocardiography Specialist, you will be responsible for performing adult echocardiography competently, taking on-call shifts, monitoring supplies, maintaining equipment, and assisting with maintaining infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform adult echocardiography examinations with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Take on-call shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage and provide emergency echocardiography services as needed.
• Monitor and maintain supplies, equipment, and inventory to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Assist with maintaining infection control standards and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
• Transport patients safely and efficiently to and from echocardiography exams.
• Risk management and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Maintain inter-and intra-departmental relations to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
• Promote guest relations and provide exceptional customer service to patients and families.
• Actively seek personal improvement and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Good oral and written communication skills in the English language.
• Able to function calmly in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
• Experience in echocardiographic examination of patients in any setting, including acute care settings, preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Associate Degree in cardiovascular sonography field preferred.
• Registered in Cardiac Sonography required.
