Opportunity to engage in work you are passionate about Job Security Commitment to community service THE CITY OF WACO SEEKS:A Utilities Customer Service Representative who possesses exceptional customer service abilities, communicates effectively, maintains confidentiality regarding work-related matters and City information, and performs other related and assigned duties as necessary. If you have proficiency in computer skills and can adapt swiftly while being flexible to meet departmental needs, this position may be suitable for you.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in customer service, call center, or bookkeeping
  • Must hold a valid Texas Driver's License.
Position Overview:Under basic supervision, executes customer service functions for clients of the Water Utility Services Department (WUSD).

Position Responsibilities
  • Delivers prompt, courteous, and accurate service to WUSD clients.
  • Handles customer services for WUSD clients, processes new customers, payments, service requests, service charges, and adjustments in accordance with City policies and procedures.
  • May be required to respond after hours, including holidays and weekends, and during departmental or City-wide emergencies.
  • Positions assigned to Call Center: Prepares records and updates billing accounts, creates work orders, enters and verifies data, processes documents and transactions, resolves customer service issues, and provides specialized customer services.
  • Positions assigned to Billing: Analyzes and prepares meter readings, records and processes billing account updates, creates work orders, enters and verifies data, processes documents and transactions, resolves customer service issues, and provides specialized customer services.
  • Positions assigned to Resource Management Group: Creates work orders, enters and verifies data, processes documents and transactions, and resolves customer service issues.
  • Positions assigned to Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) / IT CIS project: Assists with payroll, provides departmental administrative support, and aids in purchasing processes and account support.
