Job Description

At Embed, we're passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences through our innovative software solutions platform. As a System Technician I, you'll play a crucial role in building, configuring, and testing our systems to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and configure hardware components and sub-assemblies according to assembly instructions and procedures.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Embed's supported hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
  • Partner with the Installation and Project Manager/Coordinator to prioritize system builds and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Document system build assembly instructions and procedures as needed.
  • Configure system builds with proprietary and non-proprietary software and services.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of the latest hardware and software applications and share ideas to improve performance, reliability, and functionality.
  • Contribute to special projects for continuous improvement of installation processes, installation guides, and system build checklists and tasks.
  • Partner with Installation, Training, and Support team members to create and update technical procedures and knowledge base articles.
  • Develop customer relationships through direct interaction via email, phone, and Support Ticketing Systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with computer systems, including diagnosing problems and explaining complex technical information to clients or team members.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years' experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/work experience.
  • Foundational ability in prioritizing and balancing time among multiple activities.
  • Foundational level in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Foundational level in understanding and working with Windows OS, SQL, networking, TCP/IP,.NET, and PCI Compliancy requirements.
  • Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and an open mind to new approaches and solutions to enhance the setup process.
  • Foundational level in understanding and learning complex technical topics quickly.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for IT and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Basic level in using software deployment tools.
  • Expert level in communicating both written (grammar and punctuation) and verbal.
