Security Systems Technician II

Job Summary:

The Security Systems Technician II will be responsible for installing and maintaining commercial security systems, including card access, CCTV, CATV, and intrusion systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security systems and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and program security systems to meet manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings
  • Coordinate small groups of installers to complete daily workload and ensure adherence to company safety and quality standards
  • Assist in the completion of all IES COMMERCIAL paperwork accurately and on time
  • Participate in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of two years of experience in commercial security systems or related telecommunications field
  • Ability to supervise others and provide training
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to interpret blueprints and project documents
  • Knowledge of universal communications color codes
  • Ability to work at heights, off of a ladder, and in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds
