As a Child Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and secure environment that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of young children.
Key Responsibilities- Co-teach with other educators to create a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on our center's philosophy and accreditation guidelines.
- Organize and plan activities that promote learning and growth in children of all ages.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
- Develop and maintain relationships with children, families, and community partners to support the well-being and success of our students.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education and implement new ideas and strategies to enhance our program.
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- 24 semester units of Early Childhood Education, including all CORE classes and Infant and Toddler Development.
- Current/Valid California Commission on Teaching Credentialing - Teacher Permit.
- Background Check Clearance by the CA Department of Social Services - (CPMB) Care Provider Management Bureau, (DOJ) Department of Justice, and Child Abuse Central Index.
- 2 years of experience working with preschool-age children.
- 6 months of Supervised Field Experience in an Early Childhood Setting.
- 6 months of experience working with Infants and Toddlers.
- Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
