Stationary Engineer

Job Summary:
As a Stationary Engineer at Grifols, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining utility equipment and systems, including boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, distillation units, pumps, valves, and related systems such as water pretreatment, pure water, waste water, water for injection, plant vacuum, and all media transmission sub-systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain utility equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Perform routine rounds of equipment areas, reading meters and gauges, and adjusting controls as needed.
- Perform tests and take corrective action as needed to ensure optimal system performance.
- Troubleshoot equipment or systems and make or arrange for necessary repairs.
- Keep log of test requests and results, instrument readings, and preventative or corrective maintenance work performed.
- Support and comply with the ISO14001 Environmental Management System.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Los Angeles City Steam Engineer License 500hp minimum or willingness to obtain it.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in utility plant operations.
- Knowledge of water pretreatment and pure water production.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment performance data.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and take independent ownership of work.
- Ability to lift/push up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to climb vertical heights.
- Light plumbing skills are a plus.
Grifols offers a competitive salary range of $30-$35 per hour, plus eligibility to participate in up to 5% of the company bonus pool.
