Stationary Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. As a Stationary Engineer, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining utility equipment and systems, including boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, distillation units, pumps, valves, and related systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain utility equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Perform routine rounds of equipment areas, reading meters and gauges, and adjusting controls as needed.
- Perform tests and take corrective action as needed to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Troubleshoot equipment or systems and make or arrange for necessary repairs.
- Keep log of test requests and results, instrument readings, and preventative or corrective maintenance work performed.
- Support and comply with the ISO14001 Environmental Management System.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Los Angeles City Steam Engineer License 500hp minimum or willingness to obtain it.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in utility plant operations.
- Knowledge of water pretreatment and pure water production.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment performance data.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and take independent ownership of work.
- Ability to lift/push up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to climb vertical heights.
- Light plumbing skills are a plus.
Grifols offers a competitive salary range of $30-$35 per hour, plus eligibility to participate in up to 5% of the company bonus pool.
