Nursing Professional Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Professional Development Specialist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. This role will be responsible for assessing and analyzing learning needs for nursing staff, planning and implementing educational activities, and evaluating their effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in quality and performance improvement activities to enhance nursing care and patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement educational programs that support nursing practice and patient care standards.
- Collaborate with clinical and educational resources to plan and implement educational offerings for staff and leadership.
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of education and development programs for staff and leadership.
- Develop and maintain clinical expertise in a specialty area and stay current with evidence-based practice and research.
- Participate in nursing department and hospital committees and projects as requested.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Current Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York and a Master's Degree in nursing with a focus on education. You will also need three to five years of clinical experience in a specialty area or a combination of staff nurse/leadership experience in the specialty area.
Excellent skills in verbal and written communication, critical thinking, creativity, interpersonal relationships, and team building are essential. You will also need to demonstrate knowledge of professional nursing, evidence-based practice, participatory leadership, and continuous learning environments.
What We OfferNYU Langone Health provides a competitive salary range of $118,000 to $146,250 annually, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 403(b) retirement plan.
