Nursing Professional Development Specialist

NYU Langone Health is seeking a skilled Nursing Professional Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our nursing department, you will play a vital role in assessing and analyzing learning needs for nursing staff, planning and implementing educational activities, and evaluating their effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and analyze learning needs for nursing staff throughout the Departments of Nursing
- Plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities that support nursing care
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing and patient care standards, evidence-based practice, and nursing research
- Demonstrate and foster collaborative relationships within the Departments of Nursing and other disciplines
- Participate in Departments of Nursing and hospital committees as appointed or requested
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in nursing required with focus on education preferred
- Three to five years of clinical experience in a specialty area, or combination of staff nurse/leadership experience in the specialty area
- Excellent skills in verbal and written communication, critical thinking, creativity, interpersonal relationships, and team building
- Demonstrates knowledge base in professional nursing and evidence-based practice
