Event Marketing Specialist

Become a vital member of our energetic team and assist in promoting Astound Broadband, recognized as the top-rated provider of Internet, TV, and Phone services. This role encompasses responsibilities across the Chicago area and its suburbs. You will play a key role in developing a compelling community events calendar to enhance brand visibility and generate sales opportunities for our local sales team. We seek a creative, organized, and enthusiastic self-starter who will take ownership of their projects and provide valuable insights to become an essential part of the Astound team.

Work Environment:

  • This position is based in our West Chicago office and involves both in-office and field responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities of the Event Marketing Specialist:

1. Organize and participate in community events and sponsorships.

2. Serve as a liaison between the Field Market Coordinator, Corporate Marketing Team, and Field Teams regarding pricing, packaging, sales, and customer feedback.

3. Manage and maintain branded merchandise giveaways.

4. Analyze post-event results to assess impact and guide future community event participation.

5. Uphold high standards in work performance related to:

  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Executing consistent events that align with service area dynamics and reach serviceable homes.

6. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of prior marketing or event experience, preferably supporting a sales team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong interdepartmental and external relationships with key contributors to achieve successful sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Sites).
  • Availability for evening and weekend hours.
  • Some local travel may be required.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Capability to meet deadlines.
