Major Gifts Officer Role Summary
As a Major Gifts Officer at the University of Pittsburgh, you will play a crucial role in supporting the University's mission by securing major gifts from UPMC former trainees who have the capacity to donate $100,000 or more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and submit proposals to achieve a fundraising goal of $1 million.
- Cultivate relationships with donors through meetings, calls, and correspondence to increase contributions.
- Develop long-term relationships based on a deep understanding of donors' interests, passions, and values.
- Collaborate closely with departmental leadership, faculty, and colleagues.
- Regularly visit prospects across the United States, leveraging both in-person and virtual communication.
- Utilize excellent written and oral communication skills to build rapport with current and future donors.
- Convey fundraising priorities related to UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh.
- Support multiple departments, faculty, and staff in their fundraising efforts.
