Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled Proposal Manager to oversee the end-to-end process of crafting high-quality, compliant federal proposals. This role involves collaboration with various business units to secure new contracts with federal agencies. The Proposal Manager will engage with LMR's leadership and external experts to assess client needs, develop compelling win themes, and create tailored operational concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the proposal development lifecycle, ensuring timely submission and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Oversee the creation of requests for information, market analyses, past performance narratives, white papers, and capabilities assessments.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance LMR's proposal management practices in line with industry best practices.
  • Prepare proposals that align with evaluation criteria, employing strong analytical and writing skills to convey persuasive messages.
  • Coordinate contributions from authors, section leaders, and subject matter experts to produce a cohesive proposal document.
  • Maintain communication with senior management regarding proposal progress and requirements.
  • Utilize LMR's proposal database and research tools to streamline the development of high-quality proposal content.
  • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to gather relevant information and ensure accuracy in proposal sections.
  • Adapt the proposal strategy in response to any changes in solicitation requirements.
  • Implement rigorous quality assurance measures to ensure clarity, compliance, and timely delivery of proposals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal writing and management, with at least 2-3 years focused on federal contracts.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Strong business writing skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting strict deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and personalities.
  • Exceptional command of the English language and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for proposal production.
  • Experience with RFP responses and proposal development processes.
  • Familiarity with conducting color team reviews.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Proposal Management and Proposal Writing from Shipley Associates.
  • Active Secret security clearance.

Compensation:

Salary range is between $70,000 and $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
