Key Responsibilities
  • Proposal Development: Develop and coordinate request for proposal response packages in InDesign, proposal documents, and estimates under the direction of the Proposal Manager.
  • Qualification and Proposal Management: Review assigned qualification and proposal requests, assess proposal requirements, and identify appropriate team leaders to provide input on proposal scope and fees.
  • Technical Proposal Writing: Develop technical proposals and qualifications packages as needed to meet team deadlines, based on existing proposal templates and qualifications materials, and develop corresponding estimates for level of effort and fees.
  • Research and Collaboration: Conduct research, gather information, and attend meetings as needed for specific proposals. Collaborate with internal Legal and Finance teams to produce complete qualification and proposal packages.
  • Quality Control and Client Communication: Provide quality control review of proposals prepared by others on the Proposal Writing team to ensure on-time delivery to the prospective client. Contact clients/prospects to obtain additional information needed to develop the proposal and confirm proposal receipt.
  • Data Management: Collect, enter, and maintain client and project data in our CRM platform (Deltek).
  • Template Development: Coordinate with the Proposal Team Manager to develop and maintain templates based on client needs.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in proposal writing and estimating, qualifications preparation, and staff management, with experience working at an architecture, engineering, marketing, or consulting firm.
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational and written communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; experience in architecture, engineering, or related field is desirable.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is desirable.
