Key Responsibilities:- Identify project requirements and ensure compliance with utility interconnect agreements, contractual agreements, regulatory requirements, and code requirements.
- Oversee engineering output through electrical design, value engineering, calculations, studies, technical specifications, and technical reports.
- Lead internal and external engineering review meetings and support operations team on client meetings.
- Leverage understanding of construction logistics, site preparation, material, and labor costs to optimize designs.
- Perform quality control/quality assurance checks and track project design schedules.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team and throughout the organization.
- Develop and execute effective succession plans and manage tasks for direct reports.
- Drive results by setting the pace necessary for success and ensure the team keeps that pace.
- Undertake challenging assignments, investigate, troubleshoot, and solve electrical engineering problems.
- Work in conjunction with Business Development, Procurement, Project Development, Presales, and Operations Team to deliver the best product to clients.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- 8+ years of experience in Photovoltaic and BESS designs, AC (LV, MV & HV) electrical design, and power system modeling.
- 5+ years of experience in power system analysis using software such as ETAP, SKM, CDEGS, and CYMCAP.
- 5+ years of managing the technical offering for Electrical Design on large-scale Distributed Generation and Utility Scale projects.
- Strong understanding of all relevant codes and experience working with utilities across the USA.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
- Experience drafting or reviewing engineering services contracts.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
