Job Title: Electrical Estimator

At Commonwealth Electrical Technologies, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and completing bid/submittal documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required materials for an estimate.
  • Produce estimates takeoff by using various methods (comprehensive, median, historical, conceptual).
  • Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes. Review quotes for accuracy with plans and specifications.
  • Meet with Project Management and operations to fully explain the estimate, scope of work, quotes, and other aspects for a successful transition.
  • Responsible for the timely completion of all estimates and client-required documents.
  • Write scope letter inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimates.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and additional specialized training required
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • At least two (2) years experience as an Electrical Estimator
