Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Hardware Electrical Engineer to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our Mission Systems team, you will be responsible for designing and developing digital hardware for our communications products.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop digital hardware for communications products, including PWBs and other electronic components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including layout engineers, systems engineers, mechanical engineers, and test engineers, to ensure successful project completion.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including schematics, layouts, and assembly drawings.
  • Work with FPGA and software engineers to integrate digital hardware with software systems.
  • Conduct bench-level testing and troubleshooting to ensure hardware meets specifications.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in analog and mixed-signal circuits, as well as high-speed and high-power signal routing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a digital electrical engineer developing digital PWB hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with analog, digital, mixed-signal, high-speed, high-power, multilayer, flexi-rigid PCB layout design in a schematic design environment.
  • Experience with BOM/PL creation, design rules verification, debugging, and component placement.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and ability to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Xpedition PCB Design Tools or equivalent CAD/CAE tools.
  • Knowledge of data/library management tools and configuration management tools.
  • Ability to generate complete drawings sets to document PWB and CCA level designs.
