Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled High Power Microwave/RF Systems Engineer to join our team at Qualis Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance on the development and deployment of High Power Microwave (HPM) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Analysis: Perform critical analysis of technical data packages, including SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR presentations, HPM acceptance test planning/results, HPM lethality analysis, and HPM risk mitigation strategies.
  • System Design: Provide recommendations on the emplacement of HPM systems to maximize lethality while limiting impact to equipment.
  • Collaboration: Interface with Naval Surface Warfare Division-Dahlgren HPM SME's to provide RCCTO leadership with recommendations on a wide range of efforts being conducted.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Work with all stakeholders to gain approval to operate HPM systems both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Research and Development: Perform all source analysis to acquire required technical specifications.
  • Professional Engineering Advice: Provide Professional Engineering Advice, guidance and assistance in various stages of research, development and deployment.
  • Technical Reporting: Formulate/estimate technical parameters that are not available from all source analysis.
  • Documentation: Support preparation of risk assessment reports, safety assessment reports, and technical data packages and presentation materials.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience evaluating, coordinating, and risk mitigations with HPM/RF systems.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • Teamwork: Must be able to effectively work within a multi-disciplined team, including program management and technical/engineering personnel.
  • Process Knowledge: Experience with Directed Energy Weapon Initial Operational Employment Review and Approval Process (DEWRAP) process.
  • System Knowledge: Experience with wide range of sensors (EO/IR, Radar, etc.).
  • Effector Knowledge: Experience with non-kinetic effectors (Lasers, EW, etc.).
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Software Skills: Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Leadership: Demonstrate a professional demeanor in working with senior Army leadership.
Clearance
  • Security Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
