Job Title: High Power Microwave Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled High Power Microwave Engineer to join our team at PeopleTec, Inc. in Huntsville, AL.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in High Power Microwave (HPM) systems, providing analysis and recommendations to support the development and deployment of critical technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform critical analysis of technical data packages, including SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR presentations, HPM acceptance test planning/results, HPM lethality analysis, and HPM risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide recommendations on emplacement of HPM systems to maximize lethality while limiting impact to equipment.
  • Interface with Naval Surface Warfare Division-Dahlgren HPM SME's to provide leadership and recommendations on various efforts.
  • Work with stakeholders to gain approval to operate HPM systems both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Perform all-source analysis to acquire required technical specifications.
  • Provide professional engineering advice, guidance, and assistance in various stages of research, development, and deployment.
  • Formulate and estimate technical parameters that are not available from all-source analysis.
  • Support preparation of risk assessment reports, safety assessment reports, and technical data packages and presentation materials.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in HPM/RF systems.
  • Experience evaluating, coordinating, and risk mitigating with HPM/RF systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplined team.
  • Experience with Directed Energy Weapon Initial Operational Employment Review and Approval Process (DEWRAP) process.
  • Experience with a wide range of sensors (EO/IR, Radar, etc.).
  • Experience with non-kinetic effectors (Lasers, EW, etc.).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in working with senior Army leadership.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field. Additional 2 years of experience may substitute a Bachelor's degree for a Master's degree. Further, an additional 6 years of experience may substitute a HS Diploma for a Master's degree.
