About the Role:

Torch Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team as a High Power Microwave (HPM) Systems Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing HPM systems for the U.S. Army.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform critical analysis of technical data packages, including SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR presentations, HPM acceptance test planning/results, HPM lethality analysis, and HPM risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide recommendations on emplacement of HPM systems to maximize lethality while limiting impact to equipment.
  • Interface with Naval Surface Warfare Division-Dahlgren HPM SMEs to provide RCCTO leadership with recommendations on a wide range of efforts being conducted.
  • Work with all stakeholders to gain approval to operate HPM systems both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Perform all source analysis to acquire required technical specifications.
  • Provide Professional Engineering Advice, guidance, and assistance in various stages of research, development, and deployment.
  • Formulate/estimate technical parameters that are not available from all source analysis.
  • Support preparation of risk assessment reports, safety assessment reports, and technical data packages and presentation materials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field.
  • Experience evaluating, coordinating, and risk mitigating with HPM/RF systems.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
