Job Title: Preschool Lead Teacher

Ready Set Grow Learning Academy, Inc. is seeking a qualified Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and implementing daily classroom lesson plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the preschool classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare lesson plans, submitting them in accordance with administrative guidelines on a monthly basis.
  • Oversee and facilitate the general safety of the classroom environment and its activities, including outside play.
  • Interact with children through instructional methods, including play, music, arts and crafts, reading, writing, science, and physical activities.
  • Assist children with completing assigned projects and enhancing learning skills.
  • Design and maintain a classroom climate that includes visual aids related to curriculum and age/stage of development.
  • Monitor talents, special abilities, disabilities, deficiencies, or problems of each individual child, documenting issues/concerns as needed in a log book and notifying management.
  • Promote and foster each child's positive self-esteem and individual development toward fullest potential in the areas of physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Prepare thorough evaluations for children on a yearly basis or as needed.
  • Establish and maintain a positive interpersonal relationship with all children, fellow staff, and parents/guardians.
  • Assist children with personal care activities, including toileting, feeding, and cleanliness needs in relation to age/stage of development.
  • Work closely with Classroom Leaders in a team-teaching atmosphere for classroom activities and share pertinent information, suggestions, or ideas on a regular basis.
  • Assist in daily supervision of Volunteers, Room Assistants, and Room Aides.
  • Attend in-service training, conferences, staff meetings, and parent meetings as required.
  • Perform general classroom cleaning duties as necessary.
  • Write summaries of daily activities and provide parents/guardians with documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and current attendance records and other related paperwork.
  • Adhere to all established policies, procedures, and code of ethics.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field.
  • OR Child Development Associate credential, or 9 college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field, with a plan leading to a Child Development Associate credential and Two years experience related to caring for children.
  • Certified by the Office of Children & Family Services, CPR & First Aid certification required after hiring and must be maintained.
