Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant role at VetJobs is a vital part of our healthcare team. As a CNA, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients in designated areas of practice.

Responsibilities
  • Provide activities of daily living, including feeding, hygiene, bed making, and ambulation.
  • Restock supplies, collect specimens, and perform diagnostic measures such as BGM and 12-lead EKG.
  • Administer therapeutic measures, including vital signs, cold/heat therapies, and respond to customer requests/concerns.
  • Display competency for the Certified Nurse Assistant role as evidenced in the annual performance appraisal following the FHN PRIDE Standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Successfully completed CNA course and BLS required.
  • Experience: Zero to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Certification Required.

The Certified Nursing Assistant will use the following equipment and software:

  • Electric Lift, Manual Lift, Sit/Stand lift Daily
  • EKG Machine Daily
  • Blood Glucose Monitoring Equipment Daily
  • Electric beds, Bed Scales, Bed and Chair Alarms Daily
  • AE & Cryo Cuffs Daily
  • Bladder Scanner Daily
  • Cardiac Monitor Daily
