Central Processing Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Central Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Stamford Health. As a key member of our Perioperative team, you will be responsible for cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and high-level disinfection of all reusable medical instrumentation. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and decontaminate reusable medical instrumentation
- Assemble and high-level disinfect medical equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Collaborate with the Perioperative team to ensure smooth operations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Certification in CRCST or IAHCSMM required
- Minimum of 1 year of central processing experience in a hospital or 2-3 years experience in a specialty surgery center
