Position Title: Dual Rate Assistant Instructor & Medical Administrative Assistant

Work Arrangement: Part Time / Non-exempt / 24 hours per week

Compensation: $20 per hour for Medical Administrative Assistant responsibilities; $35 per hour for Assistant Instructor responsibilities

Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:Assistant Instructor Responsibilities ($35 per hour):
  • Support clients in the CNA program in achieving their educational objectives and planning for future career opportunities.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of educational services, track student progress, and assess the effectiveness of the learning program. Facilitate the transition from paper records to electronic documentation.
  • Develop and distribute CNA course materials and supplementary resources to create an effective learning atmosphere.
  • Act as a role model and representative of the CMI brand, promoting the institute's values and standards to clients and faculty.
  • Oversee students' appropriate use of mock patient classroom tools and equipment. Supervise interns or fellows in the Future Leadership and Training Program.
  • Evaluate students' academic performance, provide constructive feedback to the Dean, and suggest improvements to students.
  • Deliver lectures and facilitate discussions to enhance students' knowledge and skills.
  • Create and document personalized study plans for students, offering one-on-one coaching and mentoring as necessary.
  • Manage new client enrollment files, conduct orientations, and organize welcome events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Medical Administrative Assistant Responsibilities ($20 per hour):
  • Assist the Dean with scheduling, reporting, and coordinating educational activities and events.
  • Utilize knowledge of medical and nursing terminology to perform administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain precise and detailed records, demonstrating strong typing skills.
  • Ensure all tasks are executed with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Provide general support to the Dean and faculty, including managing communications, preparing materials, and assisting with daily operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Required:
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or CNA, Bachelor of Science in Nursing with RN certification (RN BSN), or related fields.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in health professions or a related area, as mandated by Virginia regulations.
  • Proficiency in medical/nursing terminology and strong typing skills.
Preferred:
  • Typing speed of words per minute.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Word), Google Drive, and data analytics, including dashboard development.
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates are a plus.
