Job Overview

The Finance Operations Supervisor is tasked with ensuring the effective and efficient management of financial information processing. This role requires familiarity with standard operating procedures related to Human Resources and Loss Prevention, adhering to the established standards of Aimbridge Hospitality.

Management-level personnel are expected to dedicate sufficient time each workday to fulfill their job responsibilities. For eligible associates, overtime will be calculated accordingly. Exempt managers must consistently oversee the work of at least three full-time associates or their equivalents.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties should comprise administrative, executive, or professional tasks for more than 50% of the time, involving discretion and independent judgment.

  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, adapting to the hotel's scheduling needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with the dress code and wearing identification while on duty.
  • Engage with guests and employees in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Oversee the General Cashier's responsibilities, ensuring daily reconciliation of various deposits.
  • Manage and maintain the over/short log and controls for all cashier banks.
  • Process daily city ledger payments and prepare bank deposits in line with company standards.
  • Conduct credit meetings and maintain records of approved direct billing accounts.
  • Perform monthly accounts receivable balancing and manage the Special Operating Account and Petty Cash Fund.
  • Ensure timely submission of hotel invoices to Corporate Accounts Payable.
  • Conduct daily income audits to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Supervise the training of Night Auditors regarding their accounting responsibilities.
  • Process payroll bi-weekly and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with managers and employees, promoting open communication.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • An Associate's degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor's degree with at least one year of relevant experience; or a minimum of five years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and the ability to manage spreadsheets, type reports, and troubleshoot basic PC issues.
  • Strong supervisory experience and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Capability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action swiftly and accurately.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and handle workplace problems proactively.

Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and adhering to Aimbridge Hospitality's SOPs in Accounting, Human Resources, and Loss Prevention is essential.
