Position Summary

The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist will take charge of designing and executing comprehensive system testing for medium to large-scale implementations. This role requires collaboration with project teams to ensure timely completion of QA tasks while maintaining high-quality standards.

This position involves crafting and executing both manual and automated test scripts utilizing Waterfall and Agile methodologies, alongside proficient Defect Management skills. The Specialist will also coordinate with offshore teams across various time zones to guarantee timely delivery of quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead medium to large project initiatives and mentor team members on application and technical knowledge, including database and data warehousing.
  • Conduct daily meetings with offshore QA, Vendor QA, and internal teams to provide accurate project updates.
  • Develop and execute medium to large automation test scripts in ALM and Jenkins using Selenium and Protractor, while maintaining these scripts with GIT.
  • Perform Performance and Security testing as necessary using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, and WebInspect.
  • Conduct manual and automated test executions to ensure applications align with business requirements.
  • Review manual test cases created by offshore teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Engage with project management, development teams, and stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of project objectives and testing goals.
  • Provide high-level estimates and detailed resource planning using Microsoft Project and Excel.
  • Identify, log, and track issues as they arise, communicating test progress and results to QA and project management using C# applications, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Postman, Soup UI, and ALM, JIRA for defect tracking.
  • Adhere to established quality assurance processes to ensure all projects meet testing standards.
  • Participate in daily Scrum/Project Meetings and undertake additional duties as required.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of direct experience as a QA Engineer for significant application integrations or major product releases within a Microsoft .NET, Angular, and cloud environment.

Extensive experience in database testing, particularly with SQL Server and Oracle, is essential. Candidates should also have experience in automation, performance, and security testing using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, UFT, JMeter, LoadRunner, and WebInspect.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong listening, presentation, and interpersonal abilities, are crucial. The ability to execute tasks in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple applications simultaneously is required. A confident demeanor, high energy, and a genuine passion for QA are essential attributes for success in this role.
