Executive Director Job Description

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a leading healthcare nonprofit organization dedicated to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis and providing support to those affected by the disease. We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our efforts in this mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to our chapter, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to achieve revenue goals and support the organization's mission.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of programs and services that support people with cystic fibrosis and their families.
  • Collaborate with the Area Director and other senior leaders to ensure effective communication and coordination across the organization.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of related nonprofit experience, with at least 5 years of staff management/supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of fundraising success, including securing large gifts from major donors and corporate sponsors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
