Position Overview:

This role is an excellent entry point into the hospitality and food & beverage sector. We are in search of enthusiastic individuals who are eager to engage with guests and learn the art of crafting delightful beverages while serving casual dining options. Whether you have prior experience or are looking to gain new skills, this position is tailored for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute opening and closing duties for the dining area.
  • Receive and fulfill guest orders efficiently.
  • Prepare a variety of beverages and food items in accordance with restaurant standards.
  • Engage with guests, vendors, and team members in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Set up and maintain banquet services as required.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Manage cash drawer and maintain accurate cashier reports.
  • Uphold resort pool policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of alcohol awareness training.
  • Familiarity with local and state regulations regarding alcohol service.
  • Must obtain a food handler's permit within two weeks of employment.
  • Preferred: 6 months of experience or education in food service or bartending; training is available.

Essential Skills:

  • Possession of a valid food handler's permit.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented.
  • Exhibit courtesy and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Strong time management abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with cash handling.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Adept at multitasking.
  • Intermediate knowledge of POS systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and/or push up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to recognize and convey information effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with staff and guests.
