Job Summary:

The University of Arkansas is seeking a highly skilled Regional Office Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for working closely with the ASBTDC State Director and lead center management team, as well as the Center for Economic Development at UA Fort Smith.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide business consulting, technical assistance, and training to entrepreneurs and small business owners or managers in all facets of starting, managing, and growing a small business.
  • Conduct outreach and instruct and implement training on small business topics in the geographic territory.
  • Deliver services in accordance with program guidelines to achieve performance measures and economic impact goals of the ASBTDC.
  • Manage the Regional Office budget, accounts, and financial reports.
  • Ensure timely reporting, participation in programmatic and financial reviews, and accreditation review.
  • Maintain and document client records and related work activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with significant coursework in business, direct experience with business planning, marketing, and financial management.
  • Ability to prepare, understand, and analyze financial statements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business or a related field.
  • Small business ownership experience, business consulting experience, or experience working with government small business financing programs.
