Job Title: Nurse Assistant

At Washington Regional Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary

The Nurse Assistant will work under the close supervision of a registered nurse to provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with basic hygiene needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Obtain vital signs and document them in the electronic medical records system.
  • Assist with patient mobility and transport, including ambulation and wheelchair use.
  • Assist patients with meals and snacks, as needed.
  • Transport medications and blood products, including sealed medication trays for crash cart exchange, as needed.
  • Provide clerical support duties, including data entry, order entry, and maintaining departmental supplies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Work Environment

This position will spend 90% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position spends 10% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position has exposure to body fluids, radiation, and communicable disease. This position serves a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population.
