Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager to join our expanding team. This role is pivotal within our Finance department, focusing on tax planning, compliance, and advisory services. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in tax law, corporate taxation, and individual tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing the preparation and review of corporate and individual tax returns.
2. Developing comprehensive tax strategies to enhance tax efficiency and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
3. Conducting thorough tax research to remain informed about legislative changes and effectively communicating these updates to the team and clients.
4. Providing expert tax advisory services to clients, addressing complex tax-related challenges.
5. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies, to resolve tax inquiries.
6. Preparing and presenting detailed tax reports to senior management, emphasizing trends, risks, and opportunities.
7. Mentoring and training junior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous professional development.
8. Working alongside other departments to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a tax management capacity, ideally within the finance sector.
3. Extensive knowledge of tax law, compliance, and planning.
4. Proven experience in preparing and reviewing both corporate and individual tax returns.
5. Strong analytical skills to interpret tax data and financial statements.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of simplifying complex tax concepts.
7. High integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
8. Proficiency in tax preparation and research software.
9. Strong leadership capabilities, with a history of mentoring and developing staff.
