Position Overview – Senior Tax Executive:

Atlantic Group is in search of a seasoned Senior Tax Executive to lead tax initiatives within a prestigious private equity firm. The Senior Tax Executive will work closely with top management, investment teams, and external consultants to ensure optimal tax performance and risk management.

Compensation: Competitive salary with performance bonuses

Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday to Friday (Includes work-from-home options)

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Tax Executive:

  1. Tax Strategy Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive tax strategies; identify potential tax savings; stay informed on legislative changes affecting taxation.
  2. Compliance Oversight: Supervise the preparation of federal, state, and international tax returns; ensure compliance with all tax regulations; liaise with external tax advisors.
  3. Risk Assessment: Evaluate and mitigate tax-related risks; establish robust controls; keep abreast of best practices and emerging tax trends.
  4. Financial Analysis: Collaborate with finance departments on tax-related financial implications; assess tax provisions and effective tax rates; provide insights for investment evaluations.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Work with portfolio companies on tax issues; foster relationships with tax authorities and external advisors; represent the firm in tax negotiations.
  6. Fund Structuring Support: Contribute to tax-efficient fund structuring and capital raising efforts; communicate tax advantages to stakeholders.
  7. Process Improvement: Enhance tax workflows and processes; leverage tax technology solutions; improve overall operational effectiveness.

Qualifications for the Senior Tax Executive:

  1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (advanced degree is advantageous).
  2. Professional Certification: CPA or equivalent certification is required.
  3. Experience: A minimum of 10 years in tax roles, particularly within private equity or investment management; deep knowledge of partnership taxation, international tax, and fund structures.
  4. Skill Set: Exceptional analytical and communication abilities; proven leadership and team management skills; proficiency in tax software and financial analysis tools.
