**Qualifications Required:**

  • ARDMS registered technologist with expertise in ultrasound procedures.
  • Part-Time Registry (.2) FTE
  • Every Saturday
  • Midnight Shift: 10:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  • Focus Areas: Breast Ultrasound, Breast Biopsies, General Ultrasound.

Role Responsibilities

In this capacity, the Ultrasound Technologist will operate under the guidance of a supervising radiologist, adhering to departmental protocols. The technologist will employ high-frequency sound waves and various diagnostic methods to generate and assess ultrasound images and associated data, which will assist physicians in making medical diagnoses and ensuring quality patient care. Responsibilities may include: Breast Ultrasound guided biopsies, Diagnostic Mammograms, and General Ultrasound.

Key Duties Include:

  • Executing and demonstrating proficiency in ultrasound scanning techniques by producing, analyzing, and evaluating ultrasound images and related data for medical diagnosis.
  • Identifying and accurately documenting normal anatomy, abnormalities, and pathologies for precise medical evaluation.
  • Conducting a variety of ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to guarantee optimal patient care across all age groups.
  • Completing ultrasound scans within established timeframes to enhance patient care efficiency.

Essential Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate Degree; completion of an accredited two-year Ultrasound Program, or equivalent experience.
  • Specific Degree(s): AMA approved Sonography program.
  • Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
  • Less than one year of relevant experience.
  • New Graduates with 9-month ultrasound coursework experience, including clinical rotations.
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.

Licensure and Certifications

Required:

  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with specialization in Abdomen, Ob/Gyn, or PS.
  • New Graduates must obtain certification within three months of employment.

Preferred:

  • Registration in one or two specialties of Abdomen and/or Obstetrics & Gynecology within three months of hire.
