Area Sales Manager

We are seeking a results-driven Area Sales Manager to join our team and drive sales efforts in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania territory.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automation solutions and a proven track record of success in sales. This role requires a proactive, strategic thinker who can build lasting relationships with clients and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the designated area.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Client Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including engineers, procurement managers, and decision-makers.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process, from initial contact to post-sales follow-up.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Product Expertise
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of modular automation products and solutions.
- Present and articulate product benefits and technical specifications to clients.
- Collaborate with the technical team to tailor solutions to meet client needs.
- Sales Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Utilize CRM tools to track progress and manage customer relationships effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the industrial automation or related technology sector.
- Strong understanding of modular automation systems and related technologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
