Job Title: Insurance Sales Representative

At Newtown Risk Management LLC, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Insurance Sales Representative to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Insurance Sales Representative will be responsible for selling personal lines insurance products to clients, analyzing client needs, and providing individualized advice and strategies to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Make proactive outbound calls to quote and bind personal lines insurance coverage for retail clients.
  • Analyze client information and compare and evaluate possible insurance needs to develop individualized advice and strategies.
  • Provide individualized advice and recommendations to clients on the purchase of insurance products, including explaining the advantages and disadvantages of various products.
  • Work internet leads, direct mail, cross-sell, and referral lists by making proactive outbound calls and hitting desired activity ratios.
  • Make 125+ outbound calls per day.
  • Structure transactions to ensure maximum benefit for clients while conforming to laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Build relationships with internal agents to share leads.
  • Implement effective cross-sell campaigns and follow procedures to round out client accounts.
  • Sell insurance through various prospect contact touch points.
  • Prepare insurance quotes and use assumptive closing techniques to close sales.
  • Utilize persuasive negotiation skills and highly effective listening and communications skills.
  • Facilitate a sales culture to maximize retention, customer satisfaction, and up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Maintain product knowledge for lines of business written through the Agent distribution channel.
Requirements:
  • Must possess a NJ Insurance producer license.
  • Must complete 24 Continuing Education Credits every 2 years.
  • 1-2 years of experience selling personal lines insurance.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:

Remote work may be optional and/or required during inclement weather or a public health emergency. Access to stable internet and appropriate workspace will be required.
