We are currently in search of a Lead Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer to enhance our team of Cybersecurity Engineers and Information System Security Engineers (ISSEs) dedicated to safeguarding our clients' mission-critical systems and networks.

The Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer will engage daily with various system owners, engineers, and security teams. This role entails providing expert engineering insights and guidance for the design, development, and deployment of IT security solutions that protect and monitor essential mission networks and systems.


Key Responsibilities:
The Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer will be tasked with researching, assessing, planning, designing, engineering, and delivering cybersecurity solutions.


This encompasses:
- Ensuring compliance with client security policies and requirements.
- Evaluating new and existing system designs for adherence to security standards and best practices.
- Conducting vulnerability assessments and security scans on systems and networks to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Developing plans of action and milestones (POA&Ms) for the remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Analyzing and mitigating network-related risks.
- Managing and reviewing security logs and taking necessary actions.
- Guiding system and application architects through security acceptance testing.
- Offering architectural and technical recommendations for securing systems and networks.
- Implementing security hardening recommendations.
- Establishing an information security framework.
- Producing threat reports.
- Documenting and communicating security policies to enterprise organizations to secure commitment for security initiatives.
- Researching emerging technologies to support enterprise operations and ensuring compliance with information security policies, standards, and best practices.


Required Qualifications:
- An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is mandatory for consideration.
- Ability to meet government-administered high-risk role screening requirements.
- A Bachelor's degree accompanied by 8+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for formal education.


Comprehensive knowledge of networking environments and associated technologies, including but not limited to routing, switching, VLANs, subnets, firewalls, Windows operating systems, LINUX/UNIX-based systems, common networking protocols, and enterprise technologies.


Understanding of IT security principles, technologies, and best practices, including logical access control, PKI, encryption methods, network-based and host-based IDS/IPS, security configuration baselines, auditing, and vulnerability management.


Experience with scanning and assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Retina, Wireshark, NMAP).
Proven track record in implementing advanced cybersecurity technologies in complex environments.
Experience in developing and enforcing information security controls, procedures, and documentation for system operations.
Experience in system accreditation following the Risk Management Framework.
Familiarity with documenting systems' compliance with NIST Special Publication 800-53, Security and Privacy Controls for Information Systems and Organizations.
Experience with ongoing Authorizations and Assessments (A&A) and continuous monitoring.
In-depth technical expertise in network infrastructure, operating systems, databases, and web applications.
Demonstrated experience in testing and implementing network vulnerability and protection measures.
Senior-level knowledge of information security concepts, policy frameworks, and best practices.
Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent documentation skills and the ability to work independently. Strong communication skills with customers and team members at all levels are essential.


Desired Qualifications:
- Information Assurance Certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, GIAC, Security +, Certified Ethical Hacker).
- CISCO CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification.
- Extensive knowledge of Linux operating system variants.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Perl and/or Bash).
- Experience with CISCO and Juniper Networks.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, particularly SAFe.
- Experience using the Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA and Confluence, for activity tracking and knowledge management documentation.
