Job Title: Patient Care Technician

Join the Center for Addiction Treatment team as a Patient Care Technician, working third shift 11pm-7:30am, part-time 30 hours. This role is perfect for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of those struggling with addiction.

About the Role

As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for providing patient care and support in a residential setting. Your duties will include:

  • Orienting new patients to the unit and programs
  • Providing overnight security and monitoring patient activities
  • Facilitating patient adherence to rules and regulations
  • Assuring delivery of special diet orders to the kitchen
  • Coordinating external patient discharges with nursing and counseling staff
  • Completing unit filing and telephone back-up as other duties allow
  • Assisting with washing unit patient blankets and clothing of medically ill patients
  • Maintaining cleanliness of units
Responsibilities

As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Promoting safety above all care
  • Monitoring and facilitating patient activities and adherence to rules and regulations
  • Performing random Urine Drug Screens, Pregnancy Tests, and Breathalyzers
  • Ensuring a successful discharge under the coordination of the medical/clinical team
  • Providing random and/or routine resident searches according to procedure
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma
  • Experience providing customer service to the public
  • Previous experience in a residential or healthcare setting providing patient monitoring (preferred)
