Patient Care Technician

A Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role in providing basic healthcare and support to patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional. As part of our team, the PCT is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment, monitoring patients' health and vital signs, and assisting patients with daily needs such as feeding and grooming.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic patient care, including vital sign measurement, personal care, and hygiene
- Act as a liaison between patients and nurses to report changes and concerns
- Provide high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and employees
- Document patient care accurately and timely
- Participate in hand-off/report of pertinent information regarding patient and departmental needs
- Must have completed one of the following: successful completion of nursing aide training program, STNA State Tested Nurse Aide, CNA Certified Nurse Aide, or completed a nursing program with one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation
- Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care facility (preferred)
