Position Overview

Providence Swedish Medical Center is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Urologist to enhance our Pediatric Urology department, which has been integral to our Pediatric Specialty Care since its inception. This role is situated within a comprehensive multi-specialty clinic that includes Pediatric-trained professionals across various disciplines such as General Surgery, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Sports Medicine, and Infectious Disease.

This practice benefits from a robust referral network for prenatal evaluations and care for newborns with urological issues. Our facility boasts a busy outpatient surgical service and maintains strong connections with Primary Care practices in the vicinity. We are equipped with a Level IV NICU, a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and an in-house Pediatric Hospitalist service to ensure high-quality inpatient care. Our team includes pediatric anesthesiologists and child life specialists dedicated to maximizing patient safety and enhancing family experiences.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Must be board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatric Urology.
  • Preferred candidates will have completed a fellowship in Pediatric Urology and possess advanced clinical skills, including experience in laparoscopy, robotics, and endoscopy.
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications are mandatory.
  • Compensation ranges from $466,645 to $681,491 annually (for 1.0 FTE).
  • Compensation may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, and additional shift incentives, as applicable. Continuing Medical Education (CME) benefits may also be available.
  • Comprehensive benefits package includes health, vision, dental, and retirement plans.

The Swedish Pediatric Specialty Care operates as a multi-disciplinary clinic featuring Pediatric-trained specialists in Urology, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Orthopedics, and registered dieticians. Our center is recognized as the leading high-risk delivery facility in the Pacific Northwest, facilitating over 12,000 deliveries annually, which strengthens our referral base for prenatal consultations and care for newborns with congenital anomalies and renal issues.
