Position Summary

The Electrical Assembler is responsible for executing assembly and installation tasks involving parts and materials according to specified work instructions and verbal guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install drive train, mechanical, and chassis components in accordance with work instructions.
  • Adhere to both verbal and written directives for task completion.
  • Verify the proper functionality of all assembled components.
  • Diagnose and provide assistance with corrective actions for engineering or design-related issues.
  • Conduct self-inspections throughout the work shift and propose suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace while optimizing the use of available space.
  • Engage in effective communication and collaboration with supervisors and team members.
  • Operate and perform preventive maintenance on warehouse vehicles and equipment.
  • Comply with quality service standards and established procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in electronics or electrical work.
  • Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics; ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
  • Familiarity with truck air systems, including airline routing, air bags, brake valves, and leveling valves.
  • Proficient in using basic hand, air, and battery-powered tools, voltmeters, and other equipment.
  • Competent in utilizing measuring devices to adhere to required tolerances.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and wiring schematics.
  • Commitment to quality service standards and adherence to procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Capacity to quickly learn processes, adapt to changes, and implement new methods.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Manufacturing and/or automotive experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Physical Demands
  • Extended periods of standing.
  • Required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl.
  • Regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs.; frequently lift and move up to 30 lbs.; occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to see and adjust visual focus at various distances; position requires peripheral vision, depth perception, and color differentiation.

Work Environment
  • Exposure to high noise levels.
  • Machinery operation necessitates the use of safety equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hard hats.
  • Loose clothing and jewelry are prohibited.
  • Position may involve operating a motor vehicle and working outdoors.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation for this role ranges from $18 to $20 per hour. Qualified candidates typically work a 40-hour week, consisting of four 10-hour shifts.
