Job Summary

GreenPower Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in Porterville, CA. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing installations and assemblies of parts according to written and verbal work instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and assemble parts according to special written work instructions, routings, blueprints, and verbal directives.
  • Clean, assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Operate and maintain shop equipment.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Keep production supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of related experience.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Reading and basic math skills; ability to understand verbal and written work instructions.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Skilled in use of hand tools, shop tools, equipment, and measuring devices.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures; machinery and forklift experience are preferred.
  • Manufacturing and/or automotive experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel if required.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Work Environment

Exposure to high levels of noise. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Required to drive and may at times work outdoors. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
