Job Summary

GreenPower Motor Company is seeking a skilled Chassis Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for installing mechanical components and ensuring the proper operation of drive train, mechanical, and chassis assemblies.

Responsibilities
  • Install drive train, mechanical, and chassis assemblies, parts, and components per work instructions
  • Ensure proper operation of all drive train, mechanical, and chassis assemblies, parts, and components
  • Troubleshoot and assist with corrective measures as needed due to engineering or design issues
  • Continually self-inspect during work shift; analyze and offer suggestions for progressive improvement
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Operate and preventively maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of related experience
  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
  • Ability to understand written and verbal work instructions
  • Skilled in the operation of basic hand tools, shop tools, and equipment
  • Competency in the use of measuring devices to stay within required tolerances
  • Knowledge of drive train, mechanical, and chassis components and parts and materials following industry standards for proper mechanical operations
Work Environment

Exposure to high levels of noise. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
