Job Overview

Position Summary
As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will enhance, implement, audit, troubleshoot, and oversee the information systems at Geonetric. This role encompasses deploying cloud-capable server and network infrastructure within an Azure framework. Additionally, it involves diagnosing and rectifying issues in Geonetric-hosted vendor services and products.

Key Responsibilities
In this position, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Constructing and sustaining infrastructure in the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
  • Providing support for various systems, including Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS, Windows-based servers, applications, telecommunication, and email systems.
  • Overseeing global traffic management and application load balancers to guarantee application delivery and security.
  • Monitoring and maintaining system health logs and dashboards.
  • Researching, recommending, and implementing Microsoft Azure network and security features that align with Geonetric's services and products.
  • Managing and administering Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), firewalls, routers, and network switches.
  • Offering off-hours support on a scheduled basis to address security incidents and outages.
  • Acting as a consultant for client technical inquiries regarding hosting, implementation, and specialized configurations.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert in network and cloud infrastructure by staying updated on the latest technologies and trends, identifying long-term goals, projects, and areas for enhancement.
  • Providing assistance for end-user inquiries and issues, along with offering backup desktop support.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving server issues and downtime.
  • Monitoring client site hosting utilization.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Networking, or a related technical field is required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • 1 year of experience in securing cloud environments.
  • Previous experience with scripting and automation is advantageous.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.

Professional Skills

  • Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is required.
  • Knowledge of Authentication/MFA is essential.
  • Interest in server and system support is necessary.
  • Experience in Windows server administration is required.
  • Previous systems experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft systems is required.
  • Experience and interest in networking are necessary.
  • Experience in security strategy for enterprise software platforms is preferred.
  • Azure public cloud experience is preferred.
  • Network security experience is advantageous.
  • IT certification(s) are preferred.
