Ameriprise Financial, Inc.

is looking for a Lead Business Systems Consultant to serve as the vital link between the business and IT sectors in order to deliver essential or intricate technical solutions that align with user requirements and enhance organizational performance. This role involves conducting thorough technical analysis of business needs, as well as problem-solving and troubleshooting within a collaborative project team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that comprehensive and precise requirements are documented.
  • Engage in testing processes, facilitate issue resolution, support the implementation review process, and create all necessary procedural documentation and manuals.
  • Remote work flexibility is available for up to 2 days per week.
Required Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, accompanied by 5 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master's degree in the same fields with 2 years of experience will also be considered.

Experience must include:

Expertise in eliciting, translating, and documenting business and functional requirements, identifying patterns and potential challenges, converting findings into functional and testing requirements, as well as familiarity with business functional areas and management issues. Proficiency in appropriate modeling methodologies and tools, including business process modeling and requirements management methodologies, and tools such as Jira, MS Visio, HP Quality Center, and requirements visualization methods and tools, is essential. Additionally, experience in artifact versioning tools and underwriting is required.

At least 2 years of experience in the Life Insurance and/or Life Insurance Underwriting sector is necessary.
