GENERAL FUNCTION As a subject matter expert in applications development, you will deliver advanced programming, analysis, and consulting services to various divisions, departments, vendors, and customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include analyzing, configuring, designing, developing, testing, and supporting both commercial and internally developed applications/systems. This position may require occasional travel, less than 15% of the time.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct business and technical analysis to ensure a comprehensive understanding of business needs, integration, enhancements, and maintenance requests.
  • Define and document detailed business and technical design specifications.
  • Develop, test, debug, and support applications that meet business objectives.
  • Understand, develop, and implement all aspects of data management and transfer using commercial applications, SFTP, and internally developed methods.
  • Create and maintain documentation for application programs in accordance with company standards.
  • Gain insights into business operations and provide business process and technical expertise to users and management as a principal technical resource (SME).
  • Resolve complex user and application issues promptly as a second-level support resource for the IS Help Desk for both internally developed and commercial applications.
  • Monitor and maintain both commercial and internally developed applications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS Degree in Computer Science and 5 years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of full-cycle multi-tier application development/configuration, including C#, JavaScript, and TSQL.
  • Experience in commercial, multi-tier application maintenance, support, and problem resolution.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft environments (Operating Systems, Azure, and Microsoft 365).
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design and performance optimization.
  • Proven success in advanced systems analysis, design, and development techniques.
  • Project planning and management skills.
  • Working knowledge of commercial applications, including Square9, Erwin, and Git source control.
  • Understanding of data integration/transport methods (SFTP, ODBC, JSON, XML, EDI, CSV, and fixed record).
  • General infrastructure knowledge, including network and virtualization concepts.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Occasional travel may be required, less than 15% of the time.
  • The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds is necessary.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision.

Employee compensation is determined by various factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements.
